ServeProof for iOS

Support

ServeProof helps process servers document service with GPS-verified evidence, photo capture, and court-ready PDF affidavits. Everything below will help you get the most out of the app.

Getting Started

1

Grant Permissions

When you first open ServeProof, allow access to Location Services and Camera when prompted. Both are required for evidence-grade documentation.

2

Create a Job

Tap "New Serve" and fill in the case number, parties, service address, and court details. This information carries through to your generated affidavit.

3

Record Service

When on-site, open the job and wait for a GPS lock (green indicator). Enter the person served, capture photo evidence, then tap "Record Service" to log the serve with GPS coordinates and a timestamp.

4

Share Your Affidavit

After recording service, tap "Share PDF" to generate a court-ready Affidavit of Service with all evidence attached. Share it via email, AirDrop, or save it to Files.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my data stored?

All data stays on your device. ServeProof does not use cloud servers or sync services. Your case information, GPS coordinates, and photos are stored locally and are never transmitted off your device.

Why does the app need my location?

GPS coordinates are the core of your evidence record. ServeProof captures high-accuracy location data at the moment of service and embeds it in your PDF affidavit. The app only uses your location while you have it open.

What does "GPS Lock" mean?

A GPS lock means the app is receiving location data accurate enough for legal evidence (within 50 meters). The status indicator turns green when locked. You cannot record service until a GPS lock is achieved.

How do I share or export an affidavit?

Open a completed job and tap "Share PDF." This generates a formatted Affidavit of Service with GPS verification, timestamps, and any attached photo evidence. Use the iOS share sheet to email it, AirDrop it, print it, or save it to Files.

Can I add photos after recording service?

Yes. After a job is marked as served, you can still add supplemental photos using the "Add Supplemental Photo" button. These will be included when you generate the PDF.

What happens if I delete the app?

Deleting ServeProof permanently removes all stored data from your device, including all jobs, photos, and evidence records. Make sure to export any affidavits you need before deleting.
